Every site needs a Premises Controller (PC): the person on the ground who completes the assessment, builds the plans and looks after the staff at that site.
Assigning a PC to a new site
When you add a site you can enter the PC's name and email straight away. They receive an invitation to join PROVA for that site.
Assigning a PC later
Open the site and choose "Assign a Premises Controller". Pick an existing member of your organisation, or invite someone new by email.
What the invitation does
The invitee gets an email with a link to set up their login. Until they accept, the site shows the PC as pending, and PROVA sends them reminder emails automatically. You can resend the invitation from the site at any time.
Changing the PC
Open the site, go to the Premises Controller section and choose Change. The previous PC loses access to that site only; anything they've completed stays with the site. Both the old and new PC, and your BRP, are notified.
One person, several sites
The same person can be PC of as many sites as you like. They switch between them with the Site dropdown.
If the PC leaves the organisation
Assign a replacement first, then remove the person under Organisation. A site can't be left without a PC once it has an active assessment.
