When you complete the assessment, PROVA gives your site a rating for each type of threat it considers, and an overall picture on the site dashboard.
The ratings
Each threat is rated Low, Moderate, High or Extreme. The rating combines how likely that kind of incident is for premises like yours with how severe the impact would be, given your capacity, location and current measures.
What drives it
Your premises type and use, expected attendance, the surroundings, existing security arrangements, and the current national threat level all feed in. Two similar venues can rate differently because of location or capacity alone.
What the rating changes
The mitigations PROVA recommends, and how many, follow the rating. A higher rating means more measures and more urgency on the ones that matter most. For sites over 800 capacity, a Moderate or higher rating is also what triggers the Enhanced Tier recommendation.
When it changes
Ratings are recalculated when you retake the assessment and whenever the national threat level changes. You'll be notified if a threat level change moves your rating.
If a rating looks wrong
Check the answers that feed it, especially capacity and existing measures. Retake the assessment if something was entered incorrectly. If it still seems off, contact us and we'll look at it with you.
